...I'm not saying that other people aren't struggling, too. But it'd be nice if it would lay off of you for a bit. This week was a little harder than others, you know?

[ for both of them... between their entire teams disappearing on thursday and both losing a member, it's been especially rough. ]

Your team got hit pretty hard, too. I'm sorry we couldn't figure out who killed Setsu.

[ ah, well... he looks away, clearly still upset about it. ]

We weren't going to find answers for every case. We never do.

At least one of us got closure... even if it wasn't an answer thag anyone liked. No answer would be good, at this point. Your team did deserve that, especially after Lamda-san.

Still... [she feels pretty shitty that they didn't even get close to figuring it out, but.] At least it's all coming to an end soon, I guess.

Soon, but not before we lose more people. There's... not a lot of teams that can afford to keep getting hit, either.

I'm ready for it to be over.

We just have to get through two more weeks, but...

I'm not naive enough to believe we won't lose some teams along the way.

The only way we won't is if we get really lucky.

[ for all that "luck" means here. ]

We're not going to be able to give Setsu what they asked for. My team will lose someone else, one way or another. It's... the only way, now.

[she closes her eyes, just for a brief moment.]

... Most likely, yes. I don't know if Mizuki and I will make it to the end of this week, either.

All we can really do is hope that something good comes out of all this.

I really hope you both do.

[ a heavy sigh. ]

...I'm not that good at being optimistic. But the messages we keep getting have been saying it can work, so maybe there's something to that. [ ... ] Not that it makes having to sit and wait feel any better.

It doesn't. It... really, really doesn't.

I wish there was a way to just— I don't know, coordinate this? But the first rule makes that virtually impossible.

I think the best we've got is trying to keep the teams they tell us to alive, and that's... not a lot to go off of. It's even harder when you think about how many people they'd have had to erase to get there, but I guess that still makes them the best chance we have.
