She would have.]

Would you like to read it?

Hehe. If you're done with it, I would. Did you enjoy it?

I did. I'll wait until you're finished before we talk about it more.

Would you want a different ending?

...I'm not sure. A happier ending might be nice, but... would it be realistic?

For some people this is about the husband not respecting his wife. For others, the Crane is literally giving away parts of herself in order to improve their living conditions.

I've never been in love. I don't know what's realistic. Humans are all so different. Maybe if it was someone else it would play out differently.

I haven't been, either. But I wouldn't want someone I loved to give away parts of themselves just so we could live...

[says the god with "self-sacrificial nonsense" in her skillset. it's fine.]

I suppose it's also due to how they met. He saved her life, and she may feel that it's her turn to save him in whatever way she's able.

[impossible]

But he saved her life, so... how could she think that he would be okay with her giving away parts of that life for his own sake?

She could have believed she was only living on borrowed time. In her mind, perhaps all that time belonged to him.

[The static here is interested, but there's really... no part of her that agrees with this action.]

Hmm... maybe. It's an interesting perspective, but I'm not sure if it's one I can agree with.

[why are they having philosophical discussions about the crane wife on murder night]
