You make a very compelling argument. [ haha. ] Come on. That one's free. [ and he will go ahead and lead her toward an empty gondola, already climbing inside. there are a few ways to test this and the first is from inside the boat, thank you. ]
[truly hope the gondola does a sick flip and dumps them in the canal. it's what they deserve.
monika follows after him, climbing inside — though she suddenly pauses once she's got both of her feet in the boat, as if suddenly remembering something, her expression pinched.]
... Hey, Jonas. I'm so sorry, it totally slipped my mind. But I need to kiss you if I'm gonna to do this. Is that, like... It's not too weird, is it?
[ how many fucking people are cursed right now???? that's me, not him. they're in the boat and he's just kind of swiveling his head around to stare at her like ??? ]
Uh. No, that's. Kind of weird? [ he does not explain what is weird about it but he's sort of squinting at her. on the other hand ] Why, exactly...?
[ monika explain? maybe it's an other-world thing fuck if he knows at this rate anymore. ]
[STOP she's not cursed!!! Probably. She just closes her fucking eyes, slightly embarrassed.]
I said I'd boost you, right? So to do that, I need to... you know. Kiss you. [Don't squint at her. She sighs and holds her hand out to him, expectantly.] Just give me your hand.
Good point. [ but he is boosted! which means he's going to shoot her a quick grin of thanks before placing his hands on the side of the boat from inside.
FULL SPEED AHEAD.
...?
full...speed ahead? the boat does not seem to be moving at all outside of the slow bobs and waves of the canal. ]
Hm...I think if we're doing this, I have to be pushing at it from a different angle. [ glancing at the canal. ] Doesn't look very deep, does it?
[ well. he does that. he takes off his shoes and shoves his socks in his sneakers, rolling up his jeans before jumping into the water behind the gondola itself. ]
Okay. Ready?
[ he does not entirely wait for her answer because he will activate his psych and begin pushing his shoulder into the back of the gondola. good news! they are moving! they are moving a little faster than an average gondola while jonas is applying his dash. ]
Above average is good. Above average is great actually. [ he says this, but he's still pushing them along as he's guiding this boat and they pick up speed. it's still going pretty well?
except suddenly there's a curve in the canal and jonas is trying to reapply his weight to the gondola to keep their speed up and move. it's hard. control is lost, and their gondola tips over as the boat jettisons forward a few feet to capsize with monika in it. and jonas himself falls into the canal.
well. at least the canal isn't too deep! monika shrieks until she's cut off by the boat capsizing, and then there is muffled screaming as she pushes her way out from under the boat.
[ anyway that's what the mods told me so here we are. jonas is scrambling to stand up in the water and also fix the boat to flip it upright and make sure monika's not, like, drowning. ]
I'm good, I'm fine. I don't know? I mean I kinda do, but not really? The boat got away from me, I lost my grip and couldn't keep full control of it. I'm so sorry.

[this is a terrible idea but it's in the name of science.]
no subject
...I never thought about that. Maybe? I haven't really tried moving with physical objects yet.

Then why don't we give it a try? Even if it doesn't work, I think our teams would benefit from the answer.
[Since they are both drift aura teams... Help.]

The kind of weird part is that every healer I've seen use their psych has a drastically different way of doing things.

[it's fine? it's fine. she takes his hand and gently places a quick kiss on his knuckles, before quickly letting go. he is now Boosted.]

But you're probably going to want to take your shoes off.
