except suddenly there's a curve in the canal and jonas is trying to reapply his weight to the gondola to keep their speed up and move. it's hard. control is lost, and their gondola tips over as the boat jettisons forward a few feet to capsize with monika in it. and jonas himself falls into the canal.
well. at least the canal isn't too deep! monika shrieks until she's cut off by the boat capsizing, and then there is muffled screaming as she pushes her way out from under the boat.
[ anyway that's what the mods told me so here we are. jonas is scrambling to stand up in the water and also fix the boat to flip it upright and make sure monika's not, like, drowning. ]
