...don't be mad about this. [ is all he says, before his free hand comes up to unclasp the necklace he always wears. he nudges alex's hand open so he can set the chain and ring in her palm. ] Just hold onto that for me.

[ whatever is going to happen is going to happen regardless... but.

well, she stares down at the necklace in her hand, and she kind of is angry for a second, because it's scary. but it passes. and she just sighs. ]

[ he pulls away just a little, gently sweeping her hair out of the way to go ahead and put it on her. like. yeah. he knows it's scary? but also. he is very well aware of the possibilities here. ]

[ she hates the reason for this! setsu did this too! but she would hate it more if something happened and she didn't have anything left. so. ]

That's good. [ the chain is so long that she'll probably tuck it under her shirt for safekeeping later, but. for now she's just kind of lifting the necklace up to look at the ring and. thinking. um. ]
