My friend used to pretend to like them a lot, 'cause I guess he thought it made him look brave or something. I'm pretty sure he was actually at least as scared as I was, though.
Ahaha... oh, no! I totally get wanting to fake it 'til you make it, but forcing yourself to watch scary movies if you don't actually enjoy them sounds awful.
