Ahaha, well, let me know if you need help dragging him home. Though... to be honest, I've been waiting for something like this, too. So, actually, I might not be any help.
I think a lot of us have...even if it wasn't a music store specifically? It was normalcy we've been lacking. Plus, like, this is probably a good way to learn about people when you think about it.
You can learn that...I probably like music that looks like it'd fit my exact personality and that there are some things that are pretty personal to me. Songs are kind of...a thing. Like little memory containers.
[ it's confidence week so he cannot take it wrong? actually he sort of just laughs at that, a charming grin following. i hate it here. ]
How could I take that wrong? It's just...y'know, true. I'm not a musician or anything. It never crossed my mind and lessons were expensive anyway, but the internet makes it easy to find stuff all the time. And I think anybody who says there isn't a song that they can relate to at different points in their life is lying anyway.
[help. monika unfortunately thinks it is, in fact, charming so she laughs.]
Mhmm... That's true. And even songs that aren't exactly relatable can be heavily associated with different points in your life. Like associating a song with an important event in your life because it was playing on the radio pretty frequently around that time. Or a song that reminds you of an old friend because it was their favorite.
Yeah, see, you get it. You get exactly what I'm saying here. It's like my mom--[ he. falters just briefly, because he has to think of how to explain it. ]--there's one song she used to sing around our house all the time. No reason, I think she just liked it. But it's one of those things that's pretty much been ingrained in my brain forever no matter what.
Not being able to find a connection is somehow more problematic if you really want to know.

[ music taste...says a lot. ]

[she hums, looking at him thoughtfully for a second.]
Well, let's put that to the test. What can I learn about you in the music store, Jonas?
